From curiosity to career
EvaMobs connects with students at WISe - WorkIn' Science Career Day
What does a career in science really look like? How do students connect with future employers in science? These were just some of the questions explored during the WorkIn’ Science Career Day (WISe) at the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Croatia. EvaMobs researchers, Maja Katalinić, Matea Kurtović Kodžoman and Lucija Marcelić from Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMI), took part in the event, engaging directly with students eager to learn more about opportunities in science.
WISe - WorkIn' Science Career Day
This year’s WISe event was organized through the collaboration of students, faculty staff, and the Career Center, bringing together institutions and companies from a wide range of professional fields. WISe is widely recognized as one of the largest events dedicated to connecting students with potential employers, while also highlighting labor market needs and opportunities aligned with the profiles of students at the Faculty of Science, the largest constituent of the University of Zagreb.
Sparking curiosity
At the IMI exhibition stand, visitors were invited to dive into the world of scientific research. Our EvaMobs representatives actively showcased the institute’s work, presenting ongoing research projects, including EvaMobs, as well as opportunities for internships and employment. They also introduced visitors to the nature of scientific work and provided information on postgraduate studies and lifelong learning opportunities.
The event was all about sparking curiosity, opening doors, and inspiring the next generation of researchers. For EvaMobs, it was a valuable opportunity to raise awareness, connect with motivated students, and share the impact of its research.
